Bed Bug Heat Treatment
Finding bed bugs in your home can be upsetting and stressful. They hide in mattress seams, bed frames, headboards, sofas, behind skirting boards and in tiny cracks, and their eggs are easy to miss. Itchy bites after sleeping are often the first sign.
Acting quickly matters. Bed bugs spread from room to room on bedding, clothes and furniture, so an infestation that’s treated early is usually easier to deal with.
At RS Pest Control, we specialise in heat treatment for bed bugs. We use large heaters outside your property that pump hot air inside. We heat all the bedrooms, and the living room as well unless it’s open plan with the kitchen, bringing them to about 60°C and holding that temperature for at least one hour. This kills bed bugs at all life stages, including eggs.
We normally combine heat treatment with a chemical spray. The spray has a residual effect, so it keeps working after the heat has gone.
